VP Strategy Director
(New Jersey) Well-known medical communications company is looking for a talented VP, Strategy Director to join its growing team. This role will be responsible for defining medical communications strategy on behalf of clients with a deep understanding of the market, customer, competition, and brand. Additionally, the VP will identify and present actionable implications and recommendations to clients. This is a client-facing position and being seen as a valued client partner is a must. This position will report to the SVP, Strategic & Scientific Services.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Develop strategic deliverables such as competitive analysis, brand positioning, creative core idea, market research synthesis, creative brief, workshops, and brand plans
Support strategic thinking and analytical skills beyond the department
Understand, access, and recommend available tools and data resources that would expand agency capabilities
Understand target audiences, as well as drivers and barriers of behavior, and identify leverage points for change
Build strong relationships with client teams
Support business development
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Include:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in oncology and/or rare diseases preferred
7-10 years’ experience pharmaceutical marketing, strategy consulting, or advertising
Demonstrate current knowledge of and excellent communication skills on medical and pharmaceutical industry issues
Experience leading competing priorities and tight deadlines
Ability to travel (US and International) as necessary
