Chief Technology Officer
(Remote) Medical communications company seeking a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy and innovation within the medical communications space. This executive leader will shape the digital and AI roadmap for the organization, ensuring delivery of secure, compliant, and cutting-edge solutions that elevate scientific storytelling, client engagement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in healthcare, life sciences, or medical communications environments and has successfully designed and deployed AI-driven solutions at scale. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate emerging technologies—including generative AI, data analytics, and automation—into practical tools that enhance scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and client value.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Define and execute the company’s enterprise technology and AI strategy aligned with business growth and client needs.
Lead the design and deployment of AI-driven solutions that enhance scientific quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Establish responsible AI governance and ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems integration.
Build, scale, and lead a high-performing technology and data organization.
Partner cross-functionally to embed technology into scientific, regulatory, operational, and client workflows.
Serve as a technology thought leader with clients and external partners, supporting innovation and business development.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior or executive-level roles.
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, medical communications, or other regulated environments.
Demonstrated success implementing AI/ML solutions at enterprise scale.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory compliance and data governance requirements.
Expertise in cloud platforms, data architecture, cybersecurity, and systems integration.
Proven ability to scale technology teams and infrastructure during periods of rapid growth.
