Trade Marketing Manager
(New York, NY) Inspirational publishing group seeking a Marketing Manager for it’s trade imprint. Reporting to the AVP Marketing, this role will be responsible for creating and executing creative marketing and publicity campaigns for books on leadership, spirituality, social justice, inspiration, wellness, and self-help. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to develop effective marketing strategies to drive book sales and increase brand awareness.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Develop comprehensive book marketing campaigns for 20-25 books a year
Execute marketing campaigns for frontlist and backlist titles across various channels
Develop promotional materials including social media content, book trailers, and newsletters
Build relationships with authors, book reviewers and other key stakeholders
Participate in seasonal sales presentations to the sales team, along with trade and library conferences
Develop partnerships with bookstores, libraries, and other retail organizations.
Manage marketing budgets for each book project
Coordinate book signings, author tours, and speaking events, as well as work with Associate Publicist to secure media coverage of those events
Participate in product development, packaging, and pricing decisions
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Include:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related field preferred
4+ years of trade marketing experience in a book publishing house
Interest in faith based publishing and social justice related topics is a plus
Ability to be in-office three days a week
Salary: $72K - $90K
