Editor-in-Chief
(Remote) AI-focused publication seeking an Editor-In-Chief. This role is responsible for overseeing and articulating the publication’s strategic editorial vision and leading the staff to achieve that vision. Reporting to and partnering with the CEO, the EIC will play a critical role in developing indispensable content that engages and grows the audience, and supports the company’s mission and business model. The EIC will also build strong relationships with key audience segments and communities, positioning the outlet as a leading voice in artificial intelligence. As an executive partner, the EIC will act as a bold editorial leader while playing a key role in moving the company strategically into the future.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Lead the editorial team in producing high-quality daily journalism covering the AI industry.
Set the daily and long-term editorial calendar, deciding what topics to cover and how to cover them.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and depth in all content
Help hire, manage, and mentor a team of writers and producers,
Work closely with the CEO to shape the editorial vision, aligning editorial decisions with business objectives.
Play a key role in shaping how the brand presents itself in the industry, serving as a company ambassador and building trusted relationships with important industry players,
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, reader behavior, and market opportunities
Make sure editorial efforts contribute directly to audience growth, engagement, and retention
Oversee high-impact projects, such as exclusive, special reports, or editorial partnerships.
Balance journalistic integrity with the company’s business objectives
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Include:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience leading a team of writers, editors, and producers
Deep understanding of AI, with established industry connections
